HP updates hardware of notebooks
Several of HP’s popular notebooks have been given an internal makeover, with updated processors and operating systems, said distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).
Devices that have been updated include the HP 620 and 625 and the ProBook 4320s, 4520s and 4720s, says DCC, adding that the new stock is available and won’t cost substantially more.
Says Deon Botha, HP PSG Product Specialist at DCC: “HP has updated its notebooks with the latest chipsets for faster processing and increased performance. These upgrades allow us to offer today’s technology at yesterday’s prices so that users can keep up to date and ensure continued productivity.”
The HP 600 series which includes the updated 620 and 625 notebooks is an entry level value line. The 625 will benefit from upgraded RAM as well as increased storage capacity. The 620 has an updated processor as well as an anti-glare screen for improved visibility in sunlight.
“These improvements have enhanced the range without changing the price dramatically so that entry level users can get maximum specifications for their investment, perfect for the small office or home user,” says Botha.
On the ProBook range the 13″ 4320s, the 15″ 4520s and the 17″ 4720s now ship standard with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and have been upgraded with faster processors.
“These high end machines now offer a professional 64 bit operating system as well as high spec RAM and large hard disk drives all combined with super-stylish looks and a sexy metallic sheen on the casing,” Botha adds.
“By updating these popular models HP is offering more value with the same attention to detail on styling that users have come to expect from HP,” he concludes.
The upgraded notebook models are available immediately.
