Apple Thunderbolt display being discontinued
Apple has announced it will no longer make its Thunderbolt display.
“We’re discontinuing the Apple Thunderbolt Display. It will be available through Apple.com, Apple’s retail stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers while supplies last,” said Apple.
“There are a number of great third-party options available for Mac users.”
The announcement comes after reports that Apple will soon launch a 4K or 5K version of its external display.
According to 9to5Mac, the new Apple display will feature a resolution of 5,120 × 2,880 and have a built-in graphics card.
The integrated graphics card will reduce the hardware requirements for driving the monitor and ensure compatibility with current and future Macs, said 9to5Mac.
