Seagate launches 10TB hard drive for your home PC

Seagate has launched a trio of 10TB hard drives, one of which is designed for your desktop PC.

The Barracuda Pro is a standard 3.5-inch, 7,200RPM hard drive, while the other two drives are aimed at network and surveillance storage players.

For users who need 10TB of storage in one drive, the unit does not come cheap – it is expected to sell for $535 (R7,700), reported Engadget.

For those who need a lot of storage, but don’t want the limitations of a mechanical hard drive, there is Samsung’s new 4TB 850 EVO SSD – priced at $1,499 (R21,635).
