Intel unveils new SSDs

Intel has introduced six new 3D NAND SSDs to meet the needs of consumer, business, Internet of Things, and data centre applications.

According to Intel, its new SSDs will help customers accelerate user experiences, improve the performance of apps and services across segments, and reduce IT costs.

Here is a summary of how the new Intel SSDs fit into the different market segments:

  • Personal use: Intel SSD 600p Series
  • Business client: Intel SSD Pro 6000p Series
  • Data centre: Intel SSD DC P3520 and DC S3520 Series
  • Embedded: Intel SSD E 6000p and E 5420s Series

The 128GB SSD 600p is priced at $69, increasing to $359 for a 1TB drive.
