New Toshiba tablet announced
Toshiba Computer Systems yesterday announced that it plans to bring a new tablet model featuring the latest Android platform to the market.
“The tablet, measuring 10.1’’ (25.7cm) diagonally, offers superior video and audio performance, has embedded GPS and features two video cameras,” the company said in a statement.
Toshiba is planning to expand its tablet range with the next generation tablet in Europe, the Middle East and Africa during the first half of 2011.
“The new tablet based on Android consequently continues Toshiba’s strategy in the European tablet market,” said Marco Perino, General Manager, Digital Product Division, Toshiba Europe.
“While the FOLIO 100 is targeted at users looking for an inexpensive tablet that offers up-to-date audio, video and internet browsing capabilities, the new tablet, with its even more sophisticated audio and video features and its advanced hardware specifications is positioned in the high-end tablet segment.”
