HP has unveiled the world’s first mini workstation designed for users of CAD and in other compute-intensive industries.

The company said the HP Z2 Mini Workstation has huge power in a tiny form factor – it is 90% smaller than a traditional business-class tower.

“The HP Z2 Mini Workstation is twice as powerful as any commercial mini PC on the market today and has the ability to support six displays right out of the box,” said HP.

The device will feature next-generation Intel Xeon processors, Nvidia graphics, and HP Z Turbo Drive technology.

HP said the Z2 Mini is certified for AutoCAD, Vectorworks, MicroStation, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, and Revit

The company did not announce pricing or a local launch date.
