Tech giants join forces on VR

Acer Starbreeze, Google, HTC VIVE, Facebook’s Oculus, Samsung, and Sony have created a non-profit organisation to promote the growth of the global virtual reality industry.

The Global Virtual Reality Association (GVRA) will develop and share best practices for industry and foster dialogue between public and private stakeholders.

The goal of the GVRA is to promote responsible development and adoption of VR.

The association’s members will conduct research and bring the VR community together as the technology progresses.

The group will also serve as a resource for consumers, policymakers, and industries interested in VR.
