Gartner has released its PC shipment statistics for 2016, revealing which brands sold well over the past year.
The company said worldwide PC shipments totalled 72.6 million units in the fourth quarter of 2016 – a 3.7% decline compared to Q4 2015.
“For the year, 2016 PC shipments totalled 269.7 million units, a 6.2% decline from 2015,” said Gartner.
PC shipments have declined annually since 2012, said Gartner.
It said consumers are becoming more dependent on smartphones and have been stretching their PC life cycles.
