New AMD Ryzen 7 processors – South African pricing
AMD’s new Ryzen 7 processors – aimed at high-end desktop users – are available for pre-order in South Africa.
Ryzen 7 processors feature eight physical cores and 16 threads, and compete against Intel’s high-end Core i7 CPU lineup.
AMD’s new processors are based on the Zen architecture and manufactured on a 14nm process node. The CPUs boasts a 52% increase in IPC (Instructions per Cycle) compared to AMD’s previous desktop processors.
All Ryzen 7 processors can be overclocked and automatically boost up to an extended clock speed when paired with an efficient cooling solution.
Local pricing for the processors positions them as cheaper, yet as or more powerful, alternatives to Intel’s latest Core i7 range.
South African pricing for AMD’s Ryzen 7 processor line-up is detailed below. Pre-orders will be released on 2 March 2017.
