Apple launches iMac Pro – The most powerful Mac ever

Apple has unveiled its latest line-up of iMacs at WWDC 2017.

The refreshed desktops boast improved displays, with a brightness of 500 nits – 43% brighter than the previous models.

The new iMac line-up feature Intel’s 7th-generation Kaby Lake processors and up to 2TB SSDs – which are 50% faster than the previous generation.

The 21.5-inch iMac will include up to 32GB of RAM, and the 27-inch model will feature up to 64GB of RAM.

Apple’s Fusion Drives will now come standard on all 27-inch iMacs in addition to the high-end 21.5-inch iMac.

All new iMacs have also received an I/O upgrade, and will feature two Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C connectors.

iMac Pro

Apple also revealed its new iMac Pro, the most powerful Mac it has ever built.

The iMac Pro boasts a 5K Retina display and Intel Xeon processors with up to 18 cores.

The iMac Pro also features improved graphics performance and will be powered by AMD’s upcoming Radeon Vega graphics architecture.

This new GPU will give the iMac Pro 11TFLOPS of peak compute performance.

Apple said the iMac Pro will also feature up to 128GB of RAM, and 4TB of SSD storage. Pricing for the iMac Pro will start at $4,999.
