AMD’s newest generation of graphics cards are now available in South Africa.
The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is the first consumer card based on the company’s Vega architecture, and is aimed at professional users.
The card is part of AMD’s Radeon Pro line-up and features a separate “Gaming Mode” which requires a different driver download.
The GPU boasts 16GB of HBM2 memory, 483GB/s memory bandwidth, and 4,096 stream processors.
AMD said its Radeon Vega Frontier Edition GPU is up to 172% more powerful than the Nvidia GeForce Titan Xp in certain applications.
The card is available in two models, one with an air cooler and one with a liquid-cooling system.
