eBay’s ban on pirate Kodi devices doesn’t exist – Report

Kodi streaming box sales on eBay in the UK continue, despite a report three months ago that the site had banned the devices.

TorrentFreak reported that while Kodi boxes were banned on Amazon, eBay previously stated it is not responsible for what is sold on its platform.

A recent report in The Sun claiming that eBay blocked the sale of “pirate TV boxes” therefore came as a surprise.

It now appears the report was inaccurate, with eBay indicating that nothing in its terms and conditions has changed.

“We work with the police and regulators to ensure that all listings on eBay comply with the law. There are blocks in place to prevent the listing of illegal items, but we also constantly monitor our marketplace. Anyone found to be knowingly selling items that don’t comply with the law will be investigated and could face account restrictions or suspension,” said eBay.

Despite this, “fully loaded” Kodi devices are common on eBay in the UK, reported TorrentFreak.
