HP has launched a new virtual reality backpack aimed at professional applications.
The HP Z VR backpack looks to reduce concept-to-production cycle times, enhance training procedures, and deliver immersive customer experiences.
The Z VR backpack features a slim form factor with hot-swappable batteries and is compatible with numerous headsets – including the HTC Vive or Windows mixed reality head-mounted displays.
The PC can also be detached and used as a conventional desktop by connecting to a docking station.
HP said the backpack boasts powerful hardware, which includes:
- Nvidia Quadro P5200 GPU
- Intel Core i7-7820HQ
- Up to 32GB DDR4 RAM
- Up to 1TB storage
The backpack weighs 4.65kg, measures 33.3 x 23.6 x 6.09 cm, and will be available from September 2017 – starting at $3,299.
