AMD’s new Ryzen 2000 CPUs – All the details

AMD has launched its new series of Ryzen processors with integrated Radeon Vega graphics.

The new CPUs are based on AMD’s refreshed Zen+ architecture and are built using a 12nm manufacturing process.

AMD has launched desktop and mobile versions of its Ryzen 2000 “APUs”, all of which boast Radeon Vega integrated graphics and at least four CPU threads.

The mobile APUs are less power-hungry than their desktop counterparts, but the desktop chips boast higher clock speeds and more GPU cores.

AMD’s Zen+ desktop processors without integrated graphics are expected to launch in April 2018 and will be compatible with the manufacturer’s AM4 motherboard socket.

AMD will also introduce a new X470 chipset and a new generation of Ryzen Threadripper processors based on its improved architecture.

The Ryzen 2000 Series APUs will start shipping in February.

Mobile chips

The specifications for the mobile APUs set to launch in February are below.

The chips will allow manufacturers to cram powerful performance into slim and portable devices while retaining power efficiency.

Desktop chips

There are currently only two Ryzen 2000 Series desktop APUs available, both of which are quad-core chips.

AMD is expected to launch additional Ryzen 2000 desktop products later this year, both with and without integrated Radeon Vega graphics.
