Apple accused of lying about MacBook battery life

Apple has been accused of misinforming consumers about the standby battery life of MacBooks.

According to Softpedia, users have complained about Apple’s claimed lifespan.

“Apple promises up to 30 days standby time for the MacBook, but complaints posted online indicate that… users are only getting between 10 and 15 days,” stated the report.

Users have also stated they lose up to 15% battery per day, even when their MacBook is shut down.

One example saw a user’s MacBook run to just above 0% battery after it was shut down for 10 days. The Apple Store also reportedly refused to service the device for the issue.

The user then complained to Apple, which reportedly told him there was nothing wrong with his laptop.
