Dell has unveiled a new Chromebook range, the Dell Chromebook 5000 Series.
The Chromebooks are available in 11-inch clamshell or 2-in-1 convertible form factors, said Dell.
Standout features of the notebook include over 13 hours of battery life and “ultimate in durability for students”.
“The Dell Chromebook 5000 series is built to withstand common accidents that may happen in the classroom or on the go,” said Dell.
This includes 120cm drops and 10,000 “micro-drops” (4-inch drops performed at multiple angles).
Other features include EMR pen support, USB-C ports, and dual-core or quad-core Intel Celeron processors.
The Chromebooks will be available in the US from February, starting at $289.
