HP brings Dr. Dre Beats audio to notebooks

HP and Beats by Dr. Dre have announced the launch of the HP ENVY14 Beats Edition notebook PC with integrated Beats Audio.

This comes in response to the recently forged alliance between the notebook manufacturer HP and hip hop artist and producer Dr. Dre, who is well known for his signature series of Beats high-end headphones.

The HP ENVY14 Beats Edition notebook features the kind of high performance sound technology found in Dr. Dre’s headphone series, as well as a number of additional features such as the signature Beats black and red design, a red backlit keyboard and three custom Beats-themed wallpapers.

In addition, the notebook includes Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 8 software for photo and video editing and features an ATI Mobility Radeon HD(1) 5650 graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory, an HP BrightView Infinity 14.5” LED Display and an HP TrueVision HD Webcam.

In terms of processing power, the ENVY14 incorporates an Intel Core i5 2410M processor which operates a stock frequency of 2.9GHz, with a 500GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive and between 6GB to 12GB of RAM based on model selected.  It ships with Microsoft Windows Professional 64 bit.
