AMD announced at Computex 2019 that it will launch its third-generation Ryzen processors on 7 July 2019.
The chipmaker unveiled five new processors at the event, including its flagship Ryzen 9 3900X which boasts 12 cores and 24 threads.
AMD compared the 3900X to the Intel i9-9920X, and claimed that the 3900X offers 16% more performance than the competing product.
Two Ryzen 7 processors were also launched – the 3700X and 3800X. AMD said that the Ryzen 7 3700X is comparable to the i7-9700K, while the 3800X is comparable to the i7-9900K.
Two more affordable third-generation Ryzen 5 processors were also launched.
