AMD releases local APU pricing
AMD have released two new lower-end A-series processors – this following the release of their A-series Lynx desktop platform and flagship quad-core A8 processors in June this year.
The two new processors include the A4-3400 – a dual core processor featuring a 2.7GHz CPU clock, 600MHz GPU clock and 65w TDP; as well as the A6-3500, which features a 2.1GHz CPU clock (with turbo clock-up to 2.4GHz), a 443MHz GPU clock and a 65w TDP.
The A-series processors support technologies including DX11, dual graphics, hardware-based video-acceleration and post-processing, OpenCL, DirectCompute and HD3D.

Users can pair the processors with the A75 range of motherboards (which include native USB3 and SATA 6G technologies) or the A55 chipset which represents the ‘budget’ offering in the market, and lacks the two aformentioned features.
