Retina MacBook Pro, MacBook Air price drop

Apple announced in a press statement today (13 February 2013) that the MacBook Pro with Retina Display will now ship with updated processors and have lower starting prices.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display now starts at $1,499 for a 2.4GHz processor with 128GB SSD, and $1,699 for a new 2.6GHz processor with 256GB SSD, Apple said.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display now features a faster 2.4GHz quad-core processor, and the top-of-the-line 15-inch notebook comes with a new 2.7GHz quad-core processor and 16GB of RAM.
Apple also announced that the 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB SSD has a new lower price of $1,399.
The “Early 2013” models of these notebooks are available from today in the Apple online store.
Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers will also stock the new models, though an official announcement is yet to be made by Core Group, the distributor of Apple products in South Africa.
