September promises to be an action-packed month on FOX and National Geographic channels.
The drama kicks off on FOX DStv Channel 125 and StarSat channel 131, with three noted series all airing within hours of premiering in the US.
Starting on 22 September is Minority Report (20:30), Scream Queens on 23 September (20:10), and the highly-anticipated season 2 of Empire on 24 September (21:00).
Minority Report is based on the international blockbuster film by executive producer Steven Spielberg and is the first of his films to be adapted for television.
Starring Meagan Good and Stark Sands in the leading roles, it follows the unlikely partnership between a man haunted by the future and struggling to lead a normal life (Sands) and a tough idealist detective Lara Vega (Good) haunted by her past, as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen.
Scream Queens is Ryan Murphy’s comedy-horror anthology series which features the original Queen of Scream herself: Halloween’s Jamie Lee Curtis.
Emma Roberts stars alongside Curtis, having cut her teeth in the horror genre with Scream 4 and American Horror Story – also a project of Murphy’s.
The series focuses on the girls of Kappa House who are dying for new pledges. But when anti-Kappa Dean Munsch decrees that sorority pledging must be open to all students, and not just the school’s elite, all hell breaks loose – as a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc.
The final in the exciting line-up of shows is Empire 2, the sexy and powerful family drama about the Lyon clan, led by Lucious (Academy award nominee Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Academy award nominee Taraji P. Henson).
Featuring a more illustrious list of guest stars like Mariah Carey and Pitbull, this 18-episode thriller is set to blaze the small screens on fire all over again.
The first season of Empire simply defied all logic by building audiences week-on-week when it premiered early in 2015, with the finale drawing in 21.1 million viewers in the U.S
