How much data is enough?
“Bandwidth is addictive” is a well-established IT mantra. How much bandwidth should employees have, and how much data should they be allowed to use?
“This answer changes,” says TeleMasters CEO Mario Pretorius, “but changes in the same direction: more.”

The first hurdle is then whether a business should opt for an unrestricted, uncapped data plan.

“People cost us R1 per minute per R10,000 salary. Fast data at the desk saves waiting time that interrupts concentration,” Pretorius continues.
“We recommend choosing a data partner that supplies uncapped and unshaped access, this allows the business to access cloud services, cloud back-ups and virtual machines in their IT progression.
“For speed we recommend at least 500 kbps per person – a cost of a few cents per minute. We find a tremendous surge in productivity where the restrictions on the future is lifted.”
