The Huawei Eco Connect South Africa event, which recently took place at the Sandton Convention Centre, saw more than 1,200 delegates in attendance.
The event is one of the largest ICT events in South Africa held annually for channel partners and customers, where business leaders, global industry visionaries, opinion leaders, partners and potential partners meet for an in-depth update on what Huawei Enterprise has to offer within the South African market in 2019. This is according to Mr. Alex Du Min, Managing Director for Huawei Enterprise South Africa.
At the prestigious gala dinner awards ceremony, Huawei Enterprise awarded 16 partners in the categories of Networking, IT, UCC, Service capability, Certification, Training and development, distribution, SME, digital transformation, VAP, and Global partners of the year.
The sought after Huawei Champion of the Year award was won by Donna Mostert from Mustek who was awarded for her individual contribution towards growing the Huawei ecosystem.
“I am so proud to be recognised by Huawei and it makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it. Professionally it tells me I chose the right vendor – Huawei – and the right company – Mustek – to represent in the market space,” she said.

By the end of 2018, we had over 800 Huawei certified engineers who were able to install Huawei products and solutions national wide, combined with our 50+ service partners and 20+ solution partners,” said Liu.
