Afrihost receives 2024 MyBroadband Award trophy for Best Broadband ISP

Afrihost has received its trophy for winning the 2024 MyBroadband Award for Best Broadband ISP.
Afrihost won the award thanks to its excellent performance across its multiple broadband solutions, including:
- Fibre
- Fixed LTE
- Fixed 5G
- ADSL
- Mobile
The judging for this award was based on the variety and quality of the products and services each ISP offers to the South African market, while extensive research went into testing the performance of their broadband solutions and the customer satisfaction levels of users.
Afrihost stood above other ISPs as the clear winner in this regard.
Innovation is key
As South Africa’s leading broadband ISP, Afrihost constantly strives to provide South Africans with new and exciting services.
The most recent example of this is the relaunch of its AirMobile MVNO service.
AirMobile runs on MTN’s mobile network and was relaunched earlier this year with a new app and website.
According to MyBroadband research, it is now the most affordable MTN MVNO for heavy data users.
The success of AirMobile’s relaunch shows that Afrihost is always looking for new ways to deliver the best services to its customers at great prices.
A history of success
Afrihost’s customer-centric approach began 25 years ago when the ISP was founded. It established itself as a disruptor by offering drastically lower hosting prices.
At the time, most providers charged about R550 per month for basic hosting – and Afrihost beat this with options starting at only R150 per month.
In 2009, Afrihost once again disrupted the local ICT sector by offering notably lower per-GB pricing for DSL.
This focus on delivering unrivalled, customer-centric offerings continues today – making Afrihost the deserving winner of the 2024 MyBroadband Award for Best Broadband ISP.
