Samsung launches new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 foldable smartphones in South Africa – Photos

Samsung South Africa’s Vice President of Mobile Experience Justin Hume explains the Galaxy AI features of the new Samsung Galaxy foldable smartphones.

Samsung has unveiled its new foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 – at the South African Galaxy Unpacked launch event.

Galaxy Unpacked South Africa was held in Steyn City, Johannesburg, and allowed attendees to experience Samsung’s newest flagship smartphones first-hand.

The most notable feature of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 is their Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors, which support the same Galaxy AI features first made available in the S24 series.

These include Chat Assist, Transcribe Assist, Note Assist, Circle to Search, and a live call translation feature that is now processed on-device for added data privacy.

Galaxy AI extends to their cameras, too, supporting features like instant slow-motion for videos, improved image capturing, and AI-powered editing features.

Pre-orders open

The Galaxy Flip 6 is available to pre-order in Silver Shadow, Blue, Yellow, and Mint – while the Fold6 is available to pre-order in Silver Shadow, Pink, and Navy.
