Vodacom World Refresh – All the latest tech under one roof

Vodacom World is now more relevant to South African shoppers than ever before, featuring unrivalled products, services, and support from a wide range of leading technology brands.
This was a key takeaway from the Vodacom World refresh event on 22 October, where Vodacom unveiled a full refresh of its flagship mall.
The Vodacom World refresh includes a new look throughout and many upgraded spaces – and MyBroadband was given access to see everything on offer.

Vodacom World visitors will be greeted by an immersive digital ecosystem as soon as they walk in – offering so much more than the previous selection of smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
“We have partnered with our OEMs to have an exclusive ecosystem within our space,” said Samantha Botha, Managing Executive for Retail Operations and Branded Channels at Vodacom.
“Part of our strategy and long-term vision is to build a marketplace that goes beyond transactions and becomes a technological lifestyle.”

Each OEM – including HONOR, Huawei, OPPO, Samsung, TECNO, vivo, and Xiaomi – has expanded its presence in Vodacom World to offer a wide variety of smart devices. This includes everything from smartphones and tablets, to smart blenders and smart air fryers.
This is part of a shift for Vodacom World to offer a diversity of products to deliver bespoke technology experiences to its customers, ensuring they can access and test products before they buy them.
Through this refresh, Vodacom World has also established itself as the home of digital innovation and the destination of choice where South Africans can experience immersive environments, exclusive offers, the latest technology, and superior service.

Exclusive access
The features of the refreshed Vodacom World do not stop there, and Vodacom has prioritised access to products that have not yet been released to the South African market.
We tested new foldable smartphones and saw TVs that are yet to arrive in South African stores – an experience Vodacom World will continue to deliver on moving forward.
“If you want to see it first, it’s going to be at Vodacom World. If you want to experience it first, it’s going to be at Vodacom World,” said Naasera Kazi, Executive Head of Department for Terminals Go To Market at Vodacom.
“Our OEMs are bringing in products that are new to the market, and there are exclusive deals that are structured around these products that you will get only at Vodacom World.”
The new and improved Vodacom World is now open to the public.
