rain, South Africa’s 5G and 4G Mobile Network Operator, has recently announced the launch of the101 pro, its smallest, fastest, smartest 5G router, and the101 xtender, smart mesh wifi router.
Since launching their first tower in 2016, rain has built their networks by investing in the latest technology and infrastructure. rain launched 5G in 2019 and a year later introduced the first standalone 5G network outside of China.
In 2023, they launched their nationwide 4G mobile network. With the roll-out of 5G, more South Africans now have access to unlimited high-speed connectivity.

the101 xtender extends wifi coverage by creating a smart mesh network, seamlessly pairing with the101 pro to deliver a single SSID for all devices. Its 1.8-inch touch screen also includes features like scan-to-connect and direct messaging, while 101 skins allow it to blend effortlessly into any room.
