FlySafair introduces innovative in-app plane tracking feature for customers
FlySafair, South Africa’s leading low-cost airline, is excited to introduce an innovative new feature to its mobile app, enabling customers to track their aircraft in near real time before take-off.
The added feature is the first of its kind in South Africa and empowers customers with precise information about their plane’s location and flight status, helping them feel confident in their travel plans.
In the hours before their flight, FlySafair app users can now track the aircraft designated for their journey.
The tracker gives customers visibility of the aircraft’s movements, including landing at the departure airport and schedule changes.
This information can help passengers with coordinating travel arrangements, such as expected boarding and arrival times, while improving the communication between the airline and its customers .
The app feature also boasts a sharing function, whereby travellers can share their location with loved ones and keep them up to date on their trip progress.
“At FlySafair, we are focused on providing an exceptional service to our passengers,” said Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair.
“The new plane tracker feature on the app supports this commitment to put our customers first, providing them with the information they need to feel in control of their journey.”
“We recognise that travel can be at times stressful, so offering real-time updates on the aircraft’s location helps reduce some of that uncertainty, and enhances the overall travel experience,” said Gordon.
The new plane-tracking feature is accessible via FlySafair’s mobile app, which is available for download on both iOS and Android devices.
The platform provides a faster way for customers to search, book, and manage all flights directly in one place from the convenience of their phones, with the new flight tracker adding to these functionalities.
“By using cutting-edge technology, FlySafair is empowering customers with access to relevant information to plan their journey. We’re proud to be the first airline in South Africa to offer this transparency to our passengers,” Gordon said.
“Our aim is to make flying as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and we believe that the app’s new feature will make a positive impact on how our customers experience their travel with us.”
FlySafair is committed to setting new standards in customer service within the airline industry, consistently seeking innovative ways to offer added value to its passengers.
The airline invites all its app users to make the most of this new feature and welcomes any feedback to help enhance its offerings even further.
