ASUS Zenbook A14 review – It’s all you will ever need in a laptop

ASUS has raised the bar with its new Zenbook A14.

The sleek laptop features a lightweight 980g chassis, while boasting a 32-hour battery life and powerful performance – a combination which is beyond impressive.

These features make it perfect for regular commuters and on-the-go professionals who want a slim laptop that packs a serious punch.

This was our finding after we spent a week testing the new ASUS Zenbook A14. We detail experience, below.

Snapdragon performance

ASUS has equipped the Zenbook A14 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E78100 chip, which is a new entry into the laptop segment.

The Qualcomm chip offers a great balance between performance and power efficiency, thanks to its high-end 12-core architecture, 3.4GHz frequency, and 42MB cache.

To gain more insight into this processor’s performance, we benchmarked it using Cinebench.

The results highlighted excellent, flagship-grade multicore performance – indicating that the ASUS Zenbook A14 will easily handle demanding multitasking workloads.

The Snapdragon chip also features a Qualcomm Adreno GPU and Qualcomm Hexagon Neural Processing Unit, which ensure the Zenbook A14 can take also care of graphically-demanding and AI-focused tasks.

Rounding out the productivity-focused hardware was 32GB RAM, which enabled us to multitask to the max by running many demanding apps simultaneously.

Running untethered

What made the Zenbook A14 really stand out for us is that its potent performance is matched by a multi-day battery life.

While it is generally unusual to find a laptop with a battery that lasts close to 20 hours, the Zenbook A14’s 70Wh battery can deliver a remarkable 32 hours of usage on a single charge.

This makes the ASUS Zenbook A14 the ultimate laptop for those who are always on the go, as you won’t need to worry about it running low during extended usage. In fact, it will even last long enough to get you through the longest international flight – including the layover at the airport!

The long-lasting battery is complemented by the Zenbook A14’s lightweight and durable design, further enhancing its appeal to jet-setting professionals.

At 980 grams, the laptop is incredibly easy to carry around with you – whether you are travelling for business or leisure.

This lightweight design is possible thanks to ASUS Ceraluminum – a material which is 30% lighter than traditional laptop materials, while offering exceptional strength.

Ceraluminum ensures the ASUS Zenbook A14 is wear, scratch, and shock-resistant, giving it next-level durability that meets the military-grade MIL-STD 810H rating.

All you will ever need in a laptop

The durable design didn’t compromise on the style of the laptop, however, as the ASUS Zenbook A14 is a great-looking device with and Iceland Gray finish.

ASUS has paired this with a Lumina OLED display that offers crisp, vivid visuals that made everything from late-night working to watching movies an enjoyable experience.
