Gov.za tango down
A number of websites on the Internet domain of the South African government (gov.za) were not responding on the morning of Wednesday, 30 April 2014.
Among the websites affected are the government’s main site (www.gov.za) and the Department of Communications (www.doc.gov.za).
Some websites, including Treasury (treasury.gov.za) and the Department of Trade and Industry (www.thedti.gov.za), appeared to still be working.
The State Information Technology Agency (Sita), which manages the domain, was not immediately available to comment on the downtime.
Sita’s domain (sita.co.za) was also not responding at the time of publication.
