Facebook down
Facebook has been hit by an outage that appears to be affecting all aspects of the service.
Users are reporting that it’s not only Facebook’s website that is down, but its APIs as well, including the Facebook “Like” button.
The cause of the outage is not known at the time of writing, with no indication of when services will be restored.
Many people took to Twitter to discuss the downtime, with the #facebookdown tag producing a slew of tweets every second.
“Wow, seems that #Facebook is down. Oh well, at least we can still Tweet,” said one person on Twitter.
“Dear Facebook people. Here on Twitter, we do not care that Facebook is down. Remember what Zuckerberg called you for giving him your data,” said well known journalist Ivo Vegter.

Update (10h30): Facebook appears to be restoring services, though some users reported that their profiles are not yet accessible.
