Piracy Oscar winner named
On Sunday night the biggest names in the movie industry converged on the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars. The event honors the best performances and moviemaking over the last year.
TorrentFreak has however announced its own award – the BitTorent Oscar for the most downloaded movie among the list of best picture nominees.
According to TorrentFreak the South African based District 9 is the winner according to number of downloads, followed by Avatar and The Hurt Locker.
