Effective Measure’s March 2015 statistics show that South Africa’s top websites served over 1 billion pages last month.
Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the IAB South Africa, and provides accurate traffic and demographic statistics for the country’s top websites.
According to the statistics, South Africa’s top websites recorded 37 million unique browsers in March 2015, and these websites served 1.076 billion pages to these browsers.
Johannesburg had the highest number of browsers, followed by Cape Town and Pretoria.

How South Africans use the Internet for travel
Effective Measure also released its Holiday and Travel survey results which provides insight into how South Africans plan their holidays.
The results show that while users’ mobile usage goes up over the holiday season, most searches for holiday plans still happen on desktop devices.
The survey also found that many local travelers plan weekends away a few weeks in advance.
