Mirrativ live streams your smartphone screen

DeNA, a Japanese developer known for its mobile games and Showroom, has announced the launch of Mirrativ.

Where apps like Meerkat and Periscope let users stream what their smartphone cameras see, Mirrativ lets you broadcast what is on your screen as well.

Currently only in testing on Android, Mirrativ said it will announce beta periods from its Twitter account and with push notifications to the app.

The broadcasting and viewing features of the app will only be available during these periods.

To watch streams you will need a smartphone running Android 4.1 or later, and to stream video you will need Android 5.0 or later.

DeNA said it is also developing an iPhone and iPad version of the app.
