Highest-paid YouTube stars of 2015

Forbes has revealed its list of the highest-earning YouTube stars of 2015, with the number one spot going to gamer PewDiePie – real name Felix Kjellberg.

According to Forbes’ calculations, PewDiePie made $12 million from his YouTube fame, followed by comedy duo Smosh ($8.5 million), violinist Lindsey Stirling ($6 million), British video game commentator KSI ($4.5 million), and make-up expert Michelle Phan ($3 million).

The publication said that most of the money the YouTube stars make comes from advertising – although some of the top earners have book deals and product lines.
