Google has entered into an agreement to acquire the development platform bebop, which was founded by Diane Greene.

As part of the acquisition, Greene will lead a new team that combines all of Google’s cloud businesses – including Google for Work, Cloud Platform, and Google Apps.

The new business will bring product, engineering, marketing, and sales together – allowing Google to “operate in a much more integrated, coordinated fashion”.

“Cloud computing is revolutionizing the way people live and work, and there is no better person than Diane to lead this important area,” said Google.
