Google makes you choose: Light or Dark Side of The Force?

In the build up to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Google has launched google.com/starwars – a place for fans of Disney’s Star Wars franchise.

The portal asks you to choose between the Light or Dark Side of The Force. Once you have decided, Google’s various apps change to match your choice.

YouTube’s progress bar glows like a lightsaber, while Gmail gets a new background and its loading bar is also changed to look like a lightsaber.

Traffic information crowdsourcing app Waze lets you change your car’s icon to a Star Wars fighter or droid, and you can change voice guided navigation to use C-3PO’s voice.

Google also generates a new profile picture from your existing one which you can elect to use.
