Beware of the “most used words” Facebook quiz

An online quiz that shows the words you use the most on Facebook is a “privacy nightmare”, according to a report by Comparitech.

The VPN comparison website reported that the quiz collects your name, birthdate, hometown, education details, Likes, photos, browser, language, IP address, and your friends list if you link it to Facebook.

In the case of this quiz, the Facebook quiz app does not work properly if you do not allow it to access the aforementioned details.

The reason for the data collection is suspicious, said Engadget, and the company responsible for the quiz – Vonvon.me – states that if you log in with Facebook, you give it permission to use your info, even after you terminate your account.

To protect your personal data, Comparitech advised users to not take part in third-party quizzes linked to Facebook.
