Uniregistry has opened .game domain name registrations to the public.

“When you join video game designers, bloggers, and sports fans with a .game domain name, you’ll join an exclusive group of web creators making a statement online about their passion for games,” said Uniregistry.

Uniregistry said the .game domain is aimed at software companies, distributors and retailers, video game creators and developers, app creators, sports fans and athletes, and board and card game creators.

It costs $318.88 to register a .game domain name, and the renewal fee is $318.88 per year.
