YouTube threatens legal action against TubeNinja video downloader

YouTube’s legal team has told TubeNinja to discontinue its downloading service for YouTube videos or face legal consequences, TorrentFreak reported.
“It appears from your website and other marketing materials that TubeNinja is designed to allow users to download content from YouTube. We need to ask you to stop offering that functionality,” said YouTube.
The Google-owned video service said TubeNinja violates the YouTube, and its API’s, terms of service.
“Continuing to violate these restrictions may result in legal consequences for you and/or your company.”
TorrentFreak reported that despite the letter, the owner of TubeNinja doesn’t plan to take the service offline.
He said TubeNinja does not use YouTube’s API, and that it is the responsibility of its users to ensure they do not violate the terms of service of YouTube or TubeNinja.
