Twitter increases GIF file size limit
Twitter has increased the file size limit of animated GIFs on the platform, provided you post them from the web client.
Its support page for posting images states: “Photos can be up to 5MB; animated GIFs can be up to 5MB on mobile, and up to 15MB on web.”
For those who enjoy animated GIF image responses, or “reaction GIFs”, this will be a welcome change.
Those with limited monthly data caps may not be that happy with the new limit, as they are likely to find their data usage from Twitter increasing.
