A new album from Britney Spears – her first in three years – will launch first on Apple Music and be available exclusively through the service for a period, Apple Insider reported.
“Windowed exclusives” have received increased emphasis in the streaming music industry as rival services try to differentiate themselves.
Apple Insider said limited exclusives usually involve a highly-anticipated album from a top artist, and the exclusivity can range from weeks to months.
Recent reports claimed that R&B singer Frank Ocean’s new “Boys Don’t Cry” album will be exclusive to Apple Music when it launches on 5 August.
Fans can pre-order Spears’ new album “Glory” from today.
