KickassTorrents asking for donations to rebuild the site

Administrators and moderators of KickassTorrents are asking for donations to rebuild the site, TorrentFreak reported.

According to the report, millions of visitors saw KAT as more than a place to leech torrents from – it was a community where they gathered with friends on a daily basis.

When the alleged founder of KickassTorrents was arrested in Poland and the site shut down, it took the community with it.

A few high-ranking moderators and site admins set up a new forum at a few days after KAT went down, and thousands of members returned to the community.

Now it plans to expand, and has started a fundraising campaign – with the team accepting donations through PayPal and a Gofundme campaign to repair and rebuild the “authentic KAT site code.”
