The best time to send a tweet or post on Facebook in South Africa to maximise the number of people who see it is on a Thursday between 09:00 and 10:00

This is according to World Wide Worx’s 2016 Social Media Landscape report.

Goldstuck said research shows there is a normalisation between Facebook and Twitter for the best time to post.

The report also showed statistics on how engagement and user numbers have increased on Facebook and Twitter in South Africa.

Facebook users in South Africa grew from 13 million to 14 million between August 2015 and August 2016.

Facebook users in South Africa who access the service from mobile devices increased from 10 million in 2015 to 12 million in 2016

Twitter’s users grew from 7.4 million in 2015 to 7.7 million in 2016.
