Google Chrome dominates
Google Chrome is the most popular browser among desktop PC and mobile device users across the world, according to October 2016 data from Net Market Share.
On desktop PCs, Chrome has 54.99% of the international market share – up from just over 35% at the start of the year.
In second place was Internet Explorer with 23.13%. It was followed by Firefox and Microsoft Edge on 11.14% and 5.26% respectively.
Safari came last, with 3.69%.
On mobile devices, Chrome took first spot with 54.19%, followed by Safari on 26.63%, and Android Browser on 9.08%.
