Google Play Music gets redesign
Google has introduced a new version of its Play Music streaming service which will roll out on Android, iOS, and the web.
“When you opt in, we’ll deliver personalised music based on where you are and why you are listening,” said Google.
“Your workout music is front and centre as you walk into the gym, a sunset soundtrack appears just as the sky goes pink, and tunes for focussing turn up at the library.”
Google will also automatically prepare an offline playlist for subscribers based on the tracks they recently listened to.
These new features will be highlighted in a redesigned home screen that emphasises the new Google Play Music personalised experience.
“Powered by Google’s machine learning systems and honed by our team of expert music curators, your experience will keep evolving as we get to know you better.”
The new design will roll out to all 62 countries where Google offers its Play Music subscription services, including South Africa.
