MultiChoice email scam warning
MultiChoice today warned their customers against an email scam where their customers are encouraged to click on a link and share their identity and credit card numbers.
“MultiChoice will never ask for your financial and personal identification details via e-mail or telephonically, unless you have initiated a telephone call to our Call Centre,” the company said.
“If you have clicked on the link and inserted your details, please cancel your credit card with your bank immediately. If you are registered for self-service on the DStv website, please change your password.”
MultiChoice said that it takes these scams very seriously and is taking decisive action. “We want to appeal to all our customers to safeguard their personal information at all times,” said MultiChoice.
