Secret IPTV streaming piracy going unnoticed

TorrentFreak has highlighted a form of “mass piracy” that it says has gone mostly unnoticed – black-market IPTV (Internet Protocol Television).

These IPTV offerings give you a subscription service that provides thousands of channels, which may be accessed through a decoder-like set-top box such as the Mag Box.

Although these IPTV services may be streamed to a variety of devices and applications, including VLC Media Player and Kodi, the Mag Box presents the content in a format similar to a legitimate broadcast service.

It provides TV shows, sports, and entertainment through an electronic programme guide that rivals commercial offerings globally, said TorrentFreak.

Also like commercial services, IPTV includes an on-demand video “catch up” catalogue of the latest episodes of popular TV shows.

“The video embedded below shows a similar IPTV service to the one seen by TorrentFreak. It is not the actual provider and we certainly don’t endorse any of these products,” said TorrentFreak.
