Alleged KickassTorrents owner transferred to hospital

The man alleged to be the founder of KickassTorrents, Artem Vaulin, has been transferred from prison to a hospital due to health concerns, TorrentFreak reported.

Vaulin was arrested in Poland earlier this year after being linked to KickassTorrents through a sting operation.

He has been fighting a United States extradition request in court, but has been complaining about back problems.

The court ruled that Vaulin’s health was fine, but the director of the prison were Vaulin was held later said that his facility could not provide adequate treatment.

Vaulin’s attorney said his client’s back problems are severe and that the extradition hearing has been postponed for now.

According to the report, Vaulin is guarded by four officers at all times and is kept handcuffed to his bed at night.
