Twitter COO Anthony Noto said they plan to show all-day live sports, news, and entertainment videos.
According to Buzzfeed News, Noto said “we will definitely have 24/7 video content on Twitter”.
“Our goal is to be a dependable place so that when you want to see what’s happening, you think of going to Twitter,” said Noto.
Video programming will also provide Twitter with a new revenue stream with 15-30 second video ads.
The comments follow news that Twitter was opening its live-streaming API, which allows media companies to use the platform to stream content.
